According to the China Satellite Navigation Office, the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System will undergo in-orbit upgrades in the near future to provide higher-quality services, with optimization and adjustments to the operational status of some satellites. During the upgrade process, continuous efforts will be made to strengthen the joint commissioning and testing of in-orbit satellites, as well as the monitoring and maintenance of service performance, to ensure the reliable user experience.
As a mature, fully operational, and high-performance global navigation satellite system, the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System currently consists of 50 satellites in orbit. Its signal-in-space accuracy is better than 2 meters, global positioning accuracy is better than 10 meters, velocity measurement accuracy is better than 0.2 meters per second, and timing accuracy is better than 20 nanoseconds. Through its precise point positioning service signals, it can deliver horizontal positioning accuracy better than 0.3 meters and vertical accuracy better than 0.6 meters.
At present, the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System has been deeply integrated into the country’s economic and social development, continuously providing high-precision positioning, navigation, and timing services to various users, and has become a technological pioneer supporting the industrial development and serving the daily lives of the people.
